6/11/2014 - Torrey, UT to Hanksville, UT

48 miles

A relatively short day today with what appears to be a tailwind. Let's hope, the riders really need an easy day.

Miriam and Marnie were up at the crack of dawn, ready to start the day even though the breakfast place didn't open until 7 a.m.

I called the bike shops in Moab, UT in an effort to see if they could fix my bike and they can so I will be off to Moab, UT on Friday morning to drop off the bike.

Nick seems to be popping up in some really unique places

The scenery is absolutely magnificent

A neat building in Torrey, UT next to our hotel

Pictures just don't do justice to the beauty

More scenery

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
Stunning

I can't say enough

Wow!

Ian taking in the splendor

These two young deer frolicked along the side of the road unconcerned about the humans and the cars

Nice....

The beauty of nature

I had a wonderful breakfast here.

We are staying at the Whispering Pines Motel, Hanksville, UT.

  1. Hi Judy,
Thanks so much for your blog. I like to see how the trip is going, and you're the only one with enough energy to write about it! :) At least at this point in the trip. The lady with the broken fork gave me the shivers it was so close to being a serious disaster.

    All the best,
    Alison Stone
