Day 36 - 7/18/2013 - Burley, ID - Evanston, WY

Day 36 - 7/18/2013 - Burley, ID - Evanston, WY

Today we took off and went to the City of Rocks National Reserve outside of Almo, ID. We got there and then we decided to do the driving tour...but alas our best laid plans...we seemed to get a little discombobulated and we ended up traveling on this dirt road for many, many miles. Finally, we made it back to civilization. Whew! It was an adventure.

Then we were on our way to the Golden Spike Natioanl Historic Site and along the way we found this Missile Dispplay on the grounds of ATK, a large governmental aerospace contractor.

We finally made it to the Golden Spike National Historic Site. It was very interesting to learn how without the aid of modern machinery, men were able to blast and bore through mountains and lay crossbeams and rail over 1800 miles.

Hopefully tomorrow we will make it to Nebraska!
