2016 Epic Road Trip - Day 6

May 19, 2016

Cedar Point, OH to Frankenmuth, MI - 222  Miles

Ryder is on the road to recovery...looking pitiful in her cone head/lampshade/martini glass...but doing well.

Robert Wadlow - the tallest human's shoe - size 37 AA

River Raisin National Battlefield Park, Monroe, MI. It is a relatively new park. The Battles here played a significant role in the evolution of the United States and the War of 1812. If not for our wins in Put-in-Bay and the Battle of the Thames River, most likely be his whole area would be Canada today.

Gen. Custer Memorial, Monroe, MI. A hometown boy whose fate was almost identical to those who fought at River Raisin. History does repeat itself.

Originally a one room school house where Norman Hall attended. Hall ended up leading the 7th Infantry at Picketts Charge in Gettysburg, PA.

McGready's Pub, where a young Custer got so drunk, he fell flat on his face in front of the Judge who emphatically stated that Custer could no longer date his daughter, Libby. It is said that from that day forward, Custer became. Teatotaler . BTW he did marry Libby.

A cool statue.

The world's largest bronze wildlife statue in front of Cabellas in Dundee, MI

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, Frankenmuth, MI
Santa!

Stayed at yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. A really nice RV resort, Frankenmuth, MI
