Epic Road Trip # 2 - Day 18

3/16/2014 - Tucson, AZ to Gallup, NM

We have officially begun the recon for the last part of the Route 66 Ride. We travelled from Tucson, AZ to Gallup, NM so that we can begin in Ernest in he morning heading west to Santa Monica, CA. Before arriving in Gallup, NM we made a few stops along the way.

We finally arrived in Gallup, NM and we stopped for the night at the Historic El Rancho Hotel on Historic Route 66. This is one of the hotels that I selected for the group when we do this ride.

Tomorrow we head west towards California along the fabled Route 66 to make sure that the route I devised is correct and that there is lodging and restaurants available,
