Epic Road Trip # 2 - Day 17

3/15/2014 - Tucson, AZ

"Tucson Festival of Books - University of Arizona"

Today we volunteered at the Tucson Festival of Books on the Campus of Arizona University in downtown Tucson.
Marnie, who is still suffering from a cold was a trooper and volunteered as well. Her shift was in the morning, and mine was in the afternoon. We got there early and ended up spending the whole day either listening to author panels or escorting authors to their assigned venues.

This is my panel of authors. They were very interesting to listen to.

They spoke so well about there books and their writing practices and how their stories evolved I ended up buying all three books and having them signed.

This is one of the many children's characters that were wandering around the festival.

Archway to the Arizona Wildcasts sports complex.

A beautiful bronze on the campus.

After a full day we stopped for a wonderful dinner at El Saguarito on E. Prince St., Tucson, AZ.

Then it was back to the hotel to pack and get a good night's sleep so we can hit the road in the morning and begin our final recon of Route 66 from Flagstaff, AZ to Santa Monica, CA.
