Most of the store names have been changed, but if you watch Once Upon a Time, you may recognize most of the buildings where the show is filmed.
Vancouver, BC is definitely a port city. Lots of freight made in China comes into North America through Vancouver. Even on the highways, you can see the shipping containers in storage, waiting for pickup by trucks and trains, or waiting for more ships to carry it all away somewhere else. Looked like a whole town of shipping containers up and down the highway in numerous storage lots.
