We started the day bright and early from Silver City, NM and head out toward the Gila Cliff Dwellings. It was a brisk morning however the ride out to the dwellings is 44 miles of curves and switchbacks which made Marnie a wee bit sick with all the motion. However she was a trooper and we arrived at the dwellings without any incidents.
We stopped for another wonderful lunch along the way before the long haul to Phoenix, AZ and the home of Bill K who was kind enough to let us stay there for the night.
We arrived at Bill's almost two hours after we were supposed to as a result of "Missy" (my GPS) sending us the long way and a tremendous amount of traffic.
However Bill and bride were gracious and served us a wonderful meal of Chicken Tratrzinni. Then it was off to bed.
Tomorrow we head to Tucson, AZ, our final stop for this portion of the road trip.
