It is a short day as a result of having to set up tomorrow's ride. The map looks blank because we are riding through the Great Basin...another name for desert...and we are also riding along the loneliest road in America...it is definitely living up to its name.

May 30, 2014 - Carson City, NV to Fallon, NV

61 miles

The riders were off early in search of breakfast.

I left as early as I was allowed, dropped packages at the Post Office and then rode the route (US50 - "The Loneliest Road in America" all the way to Fallon, NV.

Along the was I ran into a caravan (posse ???) of cowboys and cowgirls riding along the side of US 50 heading to the State House in Carson City, NV.

Marnie partook in a real delicious looking breakfast. There was so much left over she was able to make a sandwich which she ate at one of her water breaks along the way.

Unique decorations...

The road names passed along the way are definitely unique...kind of like this one...

I had a wonderful lunch/dinner at Jerry's Restaurant in Fallon, NV. The portions were huge and the prices were small.

We are overnighting in Fallon, NV at the Comfort Inn.

Tomorrow we head east along US 50 to Middlegate, NV.
